ITCHY TEETH / 30.09.2018
Part garage, part experimental pop, Itchy Teeth continue their idiosyncratic deconstructions of music and their lives with recent single; ‘Come In My Dojo’ and a new record coming out – after a year containing 150 gigs around Europe, their weird experiences have crept into their sound. The London/Margate/Germany based band have moved into more psychedelic and strange territory than their previous album, it’s clear that Itchy Teeth have tackled their second record with an ‘anything goes’ attitude. Extended songs, freakout instrumentals and noisy pop, Itchy Teeth are building on the straight up garage of their first album.
“Itchy Teeth are a law unto themselves. Their debut album won acclaim from some high places – including Rolling Stones’ guitarist Ronnie Wood…However, new material is incoming, led by the wry, instantly infectious single ‘Brian Wilson Is Still Alive’.
Imagine a UK centric Lemon Twigs and you’d be close, with their Todd Rundgren-esque psych-pop matched to a whimsical sense of humour;” – Robin Murray, Clash Magazine.
